- Running: This strategy is most successful if your pip is lower than your opponent’s. In this type of strategy, you move your pieces rapidly to the inner board so that you can take them off quickly. Of course there is the chance of being attacked, but since your pip is higher, the risk is less.
- Blitzing: This strategy involves moving extremely and attacking your opponent in the most outright manner and at the same time, blocking the maximum number of pieces on your board as are possible.
- Holding: If you have a lower pip than your opponent, then it is best to adopt this strategy where you allow your opponent to reach the inner board while you hold your own pieces so that you can attack your opponent at the high point.
